Note: In the free version, the chart is built from daily price data collected by the plugin. Give the plugin a few days to collect data before expecting a complete chart for longer periods.

This plugin connects to an external service to retrieve precious metal rates and currency exchange rates for display in its widgets and charts.
Service Used
Purpose
The API provides supported precious metal rates (Gold, Silver and Platinum) and the currency conversion data needed by the plugin’s widgets.
Data Sent
The plugin sends the preconfigured API key and the request parameters needed to retrieve the data. Depending on the widget, these may include metal symbols, currency symbols, base currency, weight unit and historical interval.
The plugin does not intentionally transmit WordPress visitor personal information or visitor telemetry through these API requests.

Installation
Automatic Installation
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
- Search for Veyondtech Metal Rate Charts.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
Manual Installation
- Download the plugin from the WordPress plugin page.
- Upload the extracted plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/. - Activate the plugin from the Plugins menu.
After Activation
- Open Veyondtech > Gold Price Widgets.
- Select the widget you want.
- Choose your metals and currencies.
- Click Preview Widget.
- Save your changes.
- Copy the shortcode and paste it into a page, post or shortcode block.

How do I show a widget on my website?

How many widgets are included?

Four: Metal Rate Display, Current Metal Rate Table, Historical Metal Price Chart and Gold Purity Price Table.

Can I choose which metals to show?

Yes. You can select from the metals supported by the plugin and API (Gold, Silver and Platinum).

Can I show prices in different currencies?

Yes. Choose from the supported currencies in each widget’s settings.

Why is my historical chart missing some data?

The chart uses daily price data saved in the Price Log. Give the plugin some time to collect data, and check that API requests are succeeding in the Price Log section.

Do I need to buy or enter an API key?

No. The plugin uses a preconfigured Veyondtech Metal Rate API key. It is managed by Veyondtech and cannot be changed from the settings screen.
